Civil Engineer, chosen by Czar of Russia to build Railroad from St. Petersburg to Moscow. Report addressed to Count Kleinmichel, Aide de Camp, on the advantages of using the standard guage rail and engine as opposed to a larger size. This would facilitate rapid transit from Russia to Europe.
